About the survey

Bill’s 2025 State of Financial Automation survey, conducted by SMB Group, was fielded in December 2024. We surveyed 750 SMB financial decision-makers in the U.S. with 10-500 employees.

*In some instances, we compare these findings with data from our 2023 and 2024 State of Financial Automation studies, conducted in the previous years. These studies had similar sample sizes and employee and industry distributions.
