Melissa Skalla, CPA, is Controller at Teguar, a supplier of rugged hardware, including waterproof industrial and medical cart computers, rugged tablets. Melissa is a seasoned financial professional who began her career in public accounting, specializing in tax and compliance services for small to mid-sized businesses. Transitioning to consulting, she served as an outsourced controller, gaining invaluable insights into managing finances in a tech-driven environment and establishing connections, notably with BILL. In 2020, Melissa ventured into the private industry, joining a private equity-backed startup where she built the accounting team and processes from the ground up. She is currently serving as the first Controller at midsize company Teguar, based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
